Rheumatoid arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune condition that causes inflammation in the joints and the main symptoms are joint pain, stiffness and swelling.

It can be associated with rheumatoid nodules and significant fatigue, and can also affect other parts of the body such as the eyes, heart and lungs.

It is important to diagnose and treat an inflammatory arthritis as early as possible in order to prevent any long-term damage to the joints and to maintain joint function and quality of life.
