Psoriatic arthritis (PSA)
Psoriatic arthritis (PSA) is an inflammatory arthritis which is usually associated with skin or nail psoriasis. The main symptoms are joint pain, stiffness and swelling usually associated with skin psoriasis (red scaly rash) and/or nail psoriasis (pitting, thickening and discolouration of nails).
It can be associated with sausage-like swelling of the fingers or toes (dactylitis); pain and swelling at the back of the heel (achilles tendonitis); back or buttock pain (spondylitis) and fatigue. It can also be associated with inflammation of the eye (uveitis/iritis).
