Enteropathic spondylitis

Enteropathic spondylitis and arthritis is inflammatory condition affecting the joints and spine, and is associated with inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis.

Any joints can be affected, however it commonly affects the knees, ankles and feet, and can be associated with back pain arising from inflammation in the spine.

Approximately 10% of people with inflammatory bowel disease also develop arthritis.

Dr Seth will work closely with your Gastroenterologist and GP to ensure that you are on the most effective treatment to improve symptoms arising from both your joints and your bowels.
